ABSTRACT. The privacy and security of Agricultural Internet of Things (AIoT) devices are key concerns for farmers' adoption and use of the devices and technology. It is of paramount importance to have strategies and measures to ensure that these concerns are addressed. The research proposed a high-level model for a safe AIoT operating environment to help address the cyber security concerns associated with the use of AIoT devices. The research reviewed three existing cyber security frameworks which led to the development of model design principles. The rationale behind the model was discussed briefly, followed by the proposed high-level view of the Model for a Safe AIoT Operating Environment.
