ABSTRACT. Cybercrime has already become a major and growing problem for the entire world. It is becoming clear that the efforts of specialised units alone are not enough to successfully combat cybercrime. It is necessary to combine efforts at the national and international level. To achieve an effective fight, advanced information technologies and specialists should be used, as well as everyone in society who is directly or indirectly affected by criminal activity that has found a favourable environment in the virtual space. At the same time, it is necessary to create a unified classification and form models of protected cyberspace and cybercriminals, which should facilitate both counteraction and investigation of illegal actions in cyberspace. This paper is devoted to the consideration of these issues.
